Builder: RWB – “Rough World Concept”

Most people, by now, have heard of RWB Porsches. They are hand-crafted, beautiful road and track machines; meticulously put together with passion and painstaking  precision. All of this is possible because one man, Nakai-San, has the utmost love for building cars- It’s his passion and desire.

Prosport Gauges

We are a few months away from when people start to take their rides out of hiding or put on the finishing touches.  A part that a lot of people desire are new gauges to make sure everything is running properly.  One company that should be considered is Prosport, they offer Defi style gauges, inexpensive price tags, and accurate readings.

Random Car: S2000 with Nice Pipes

Anything else but a car and this shot would be considered on perverted, but here’s the business. This is actually HKS’s newish design for the S2K. All those twists and turns are what make this the HKS SSM (Super Sound Master). You can always leave it to the Japanese to calls them like they seems them.  The exhaust puts that distinct VTEC sound at center stage or at least that is how the story is told.

WWW: En Kei Ess One Five

Once upon a time, import car magazines reigned supreme, but as time moved forward many of the titans of print met their demise. Large media conglomerates that sacrificed profits over quality or just a lack relevancy is what thinned the herd of import car magazines.  There are few that still remain and those that have stood the test of time, do so because they find new ways of staying relevant.

WWW: Heavy Hitting

Last week I wrote a pretty lengthy post about Pandora One and RWB. If you missed you should go read it. If you are too lazy to read it, allow me to recap – Haters gonna Hate. Anyway, not to get caught in my own game, I thought I would share something a little less RWB for Porsche enthusiasts this week.

WWW: Nothing Wacky About This

The internet pretty much shows us just how small our world is. That statement is especially true in the world of cars. With a few clicks of our pointing device we can visit Japan and see what’s up. Every so often a hidden gem gets pushed into the lime light and the internet lights up.

Feature: A Piece of Racing History

One of my favorite cars that I was able to see at Sema this year was the 1990 Mazda RX-7 IMSA GTO which was sitting in the Mazdaspeed booth.  Unless you knew the history behind this car you would walk past thinking it was just another track made FC RX-7 with a modified 13B engine underneath the hood.

WWW: It’s a Hybrid

Ok so it is not a hybrid like the one my dad drives. For those of you who don’t know my dad, he is an old French man who makes up swears, brews his own wine and yes, he drives a Prius (not all at once of course).  Anyway that is neither here nor there, because this car the type of hybrid you get when you cross awesome with rad.

Feature: Five Axis Project GS

I always knew that Five Axis was renowned for doing clean quality work, but for some reason the only Five Axis car that comes to mind is the orange Scion DJ xB with the DJ booth they built way back in like 2003. For what ever reason that car gives me the “Hot Import Nights” vibe in a big way. That impression of Five Axis has stuck with me and I don’t know why because when I witnessed the reveal of their Project GS at the Lexus press conference, I realized that Five Axis has been keeping right on up with the times.

WWW: Phantom of the VIP

If this is your first Wednesday at DODOlogic then you probably wouldn’t know that the ‘WWW’ is an awful alliteration for Wacky Wheel Wednesday. If you are returning reader to DODOlogic then you know ‘WWW’ is just a platform for me to talk about whatever I want under the guise of  wheels. This week we get to look at “the indulgence of perfection.”
