Video: Keeping it all FUN.

Two years is a long time, it may not seem that long to some, but if you’re dedicated to the world of drifting then 2 years for a documentary about drifting is a hell of a long time.

I can remember when the first Keep Drifting Fun film came out, it was something fresh, something smart and something that changed the way we would watch drifting in North America. The guys who started it all, Joshua Herron and Will Roegge, began producing this documentary 2 years ago, in hopes that it would do one thing, keep it all FUN.

A few months ago I had the honor to have a one-on-one interview with Will. We talked about how his career started and where it has ended up as of today. One thing that Will said that really motivated me to continue to produce more films was this, “I am where I am today in my career because people simply believed in me.” That belief has come in many different shapes and sizes for Will and Josh. From the sponsors to the viewers to the followers, Will and Josh have created a household name in the drifting community and they can be considered as true pioneers of the media world.

Now, finally, at 12:00am, the Keep Drifting Fun film was released online. So please, enjoy this film and share it with your friends, family, drift crews and whomever else you think will love it. Remember, when it all boils down to it, always make sure that you Keep Drifting Fun.

In 2010 we crisscrossed the USA interviewing drivers and covering grassroots drifting events. We wanted to know why people choose to drift, how they got into the sport, and why the love it. The answer is simple, its fun. In fact, its the most fun you can have with a car. Once you do it, you're hooked and for children of the action sports era – its easy to understand being subjective and judged. In this short form documentary, we visit some of the most vibrant and passionate drifting communities in the US. We talk with up and coming amateur drivers and pro drifters about the sport and why Keep Drifting Fun is more than just a motto – it has changed their lives.

Random Vid: Missile Crissis

So for those of you who don’t know what a drift missile is you check out this article on Speedhunters. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/12/01/guest-blog-larry-chen-gt-gt-missile-car-party.aspx Even, if you do know and haven’t checked out the article, I recommend taking a a quick look.  You will notice the first picture is of Joshua Herron and later on their is a picture of Will Roegge and his camera.  That means the Keep Drifting Fun crew is making a vid and of course they are. After all what is more fun then a party?  Here is the teaser vid they have crafted.

Random Vid: Keep it all fun?

If you haven’t seen it already, here is another neat little video from the “Keep Drifting Fun” guys. Believe it or not it is a narrative and shows off the acting chops of Formula Drift’s finest.

Random Vid: Herron X Forsberg

Some people may call me a fanboy, and some of those people may be right. Here is my favorite drift filmmaker, making a vid about one of my favorite pro drifters.

Random Video: Late Nights part II

So turns out while I was making the last post Joshua Herron’s newest short that features Patrick Mordaunt became available. So because I am such a fan here it is.

Random Video: Late Nights

I was up late working on some DODO stuff being kept company by my cat Silvia and I came across some videos.  It would seem that with all the time dedicated to this last weekend I have fallen behind on my drift video watching.  It would seem that Joshua Herron and Will Roegge did not stop working  just because I was busy. With no video camera to call my own right now, this will have to do.

Formula D 2009: Roegge and Herron

I was checking up on the progress of Will Roegge and Joshua Herron over at Keep Drifting Fun and came across video recaps of last years Formula D season from both of them.

Will Roegge

For those of you that aren’t familiar with Roegge and Herron, they are probably the two most recognizable names in ‘Drift Film’.  This summer both of them are teaming up and traveling across America in a Volkswagen Westfalia and attending drift events while documenting their trip on film.  After their trek across the country ends in the fall, Roegge and Herron plan to put together a DVD documentary about their travels.

Anyway, check out eighteen minutes and one second of some pretty good video after the click!
