Usually Ryan B would write this, but he let me take a crack at it. As most of you probably know, DODOlogic held its 3rd annual Defrost meet in Regina two weekends ago. At the end of the day, I shot a car that rolled all the way from Winnipeg in all of its slammed Honda glory.
After a long, exhausting weekend, I was excited to relax. But I quickly realized these photos weren’t going to take care of themselves, so I got after them like it was my job.
Once upon a time, there was this thing called the Monday Morning Rundown. The Rundown was full of fun automotive news, but my fellow contributor got too busy with real life to do it. This is my take on the Rundown, which looks at a certain local event that took place on Saturday, April 27 — the first day that felt like spring in Saskatchewan.
Last weekend I was able to attend the World of Wheels car show held in Calgary, I didn’t know really what to expect since this is the first car show that I have attended in Calgary. When I first walked in the hall my first impression was how similar it was to the Majestics car show in Regina, mostly muscle cars and trucks. Don’t get me wrong I am not just into import cars, what I wouldn’t give for a 1967 Shelby GT500… but back on topic,
I have a confession: When I don’t provide you guys with original content I feel shameful. Before leaving Las Vegas, we stopped off at the VIP meet. We pulled in 15 minutes before the meet started and the lot was already starting to fill up. I began snapping pictures and Scott did something he has never done before, he started shooting video. I am pretty sure this meet was Scott’s favorite part of the trip, cars we only see on the internet slowly started rolling in and Scott captured the video below.
Normally a person’s first car is just part of their past, for some it usually is a story of regret. This is not the case here, Shayne bought this electronic blue pearl 2001 Honda Prelude when he was 17 and it is still a big part of his life. He tells me he will never get rid of it, and as many car enthusiasts know, car modding is be never ending.
If you look closely at the picture, you will see it doesn’t have my name on it. My name is, of course, Ryan, and these photos were taken by a Paul Smyrski. Coincidentally, those SSR Professor SP1 belong to him and so does the Civic they are bolted up to.
File this under things I love. Here are the Hondas from Illmotion’s 2nd annual Sunday School event.
