I missed Wheel Wednesday last week and you probably didn’t even notice. If you did, I apologize. I was in Las Vegas for my real life job. In fact, last week at this time I was walking through what I usually call the “Wheel Hall” at SEMA; except last week it wasn’t the Wheel Hall, it was the Digital Signage Expo.
” 2012 marked the first year in the history of Formula Drift where there was only one AE86 in the grid at every competitive round — Taka Aono and his Flying 86.” With such a traditional drift chassis nearing extinction in Formula D, it really makes one ponder what the future of drifting in North will hold.
Sometimes we do a Monday Morning Rundown, but there isn’t much going on in the world of cars right now. Why don’t we show you a video rundown of the 2012 Formula D season instead? This video was made by our friend Sully over at Sully Life. I recommend checking out his page — there’s always something cool happening on it.
Well it has been a few weeks since you have heard from me. Record snowfall here in Regina, SK has led to record amounts of work for myself since making it back home from Las Vegas at the beginning of November. So, first of all, I would like to thank Ryan for stepping up to the plate last Monday and giving everyone something to read. That being said, let’s get this show on the road…..
First I would like to apologize for the delay in getting the article up today. It was a crazy day of getting back into the normal non-Vegas life I haven’t been accustomed to in almost 10-days. With that said, yes everyone from our camp made it back in one piece after a long trip to Vegas and back. Today I will touch on the adventure as well as give a rundown on what happened this weekend in the motorsports world. Let’s begin……
I think about a year ago is when I met David Sullivan (a.k.a Sully) at a Formula D event. A mutual friend was busy pumping Sully’s tires, and recommended I check out his work. So when I got home I did exactly that, and needless to say I was blown away. Fast forward a year and Sully is still turning out unreal videos, each one more on point then the last. Anyway, seeing as how our friends at Hotboyz made a pit stop in Vegas last night and we will be there next week, this video seemed appropriate to share today.
You can find more rad stuff from Sully here.
As you have probably noticed, the ‘car season’ is all but over up here on the Canadian Prairies. The temperature has dropped and so have most of the leaves off the trees. That can only mean one thing, the 2012 SEMA Show is just around the corner. Today we will talk about that along with the weekend that was. Let’s begin……
Good morning and a happy Tuesday to you. We are a day late due to technology issues yesterday but nothing has changed. I am still going to ramble endlessly about stuff I *think* is cool and you people are going to read it and think that I am not cool. Whatever, it is what it is. Let’s get this thing started…..
So as a practice exercise for next weeks edition of the Rundown I decided to deliver this week’s Rundown today, on Tuesday. If you really want the truth as to why the Rundown is a day late, all I can say is that I need to reconsider my schedule as the 3-month old addition to the family has shaken things up a little and what worked before doesn’t necessarily work now. So with that being said, todays edition will once again be short and sweet and hopefully I will get back in somewhat of a routine in the future. Let’s get started……
Good day everyone. The Monday Morning Rundown is back after a short hiatus. The time away was mainly due to a shoddy internet connection, but you can add a little summer and lack of time as contributing factors. We will ease back into things gently here and try to brush off the cobwebs and stick to the basics. Let’s get the show on the road…….
