As you have probably noticed, the ‘car season’ is all but over up here on the Canadian Prairies.  The temperature has dropped  and so have most of the leaves off the trees.  That can only mean one thing, the 2012 SEMA Show is just around the corner.  Today we will talk about that along with the weekend that was.  Let’s begin……

Late last week Hyat Infiniti showcased the Red Bull F1  demo car in it’s showroom in Calgary. The show started with free drinks, hors d’oeuvres, live DJ and prize draws every half hour.

The battle continues this weekend as Formula One invades Malaysia for the second race of the season and it looks like this race will not disappoint.   Button will be fired up with his win in Melbourne but you can be sure that Vettel will be right on his heals fighting to take the podium win like last year.

We are one week away from the start of another great Formula 1 season commencing in Melbourne Australia on March 16^th 2012.

There have been some rule and equipment changes from last season; one rule change is a strict no blown diffusers policy that will prevent designers from using the exhaust gasses to improve the cars aerodynamics, but the change that I believe will have to greatest impact is the new tires that Pirelli designed.

In this video David Coulthard “tests” for Redbull at the Circuit if the Americas. My only thoughts on this video is that Red Bull has way too much money and will stop at nothing to promote their brand. Enjoy.

I’ll be honest with you. Putting together the Rundown isn’t usually too tough with the motorsports calendar of events in full swing through the spring/summer/fall months. With it being winter and there being no more series in play it is a challenge to dig up material to keep you guys interested/entertained. So today we have a little of everything; Supercars, Formula 1, JDM Cars and some other stuff. Let’s begin……

There isn’t much happening that is overly exciting it seems these days.  All the racing series are winding up or already finished and most every one’s cars are parked for the winter.   The one thing that does seem to heat up these days though are the car forums and the egos that frequent them.  Luckily these types of things make the winter entertaining.  Enough small talk, let’s see what I can come up with today……..
