Event: SEMA 2012: The DSport Booth

After a while things at the SEMA show seem to blend together, with all the walking, photo taking and observing you start to really lose track of where you have been and what you’ve taken photos of. What I’ve learned from my experience at SEMA is that you really want to have an idea of what vendors and cars you’d like to see right off the bat. It’s really easy to fall into that tourist category (like I did) and just wander for hours looking at everything and anything that catches your eye. But on the third day of SEMA, while roaming the far corners of the Las Vegas convention centre I suddenly stumbled upon the DSport Magazine booth. Well, maybe booth isn’t the right word since they had two of their project cars on deck!

WWW: Roll down Memory Lane

Next week I return to the SEMA show, which is where WWW all started. This means I can fill my coffers with more wheel content to last through the winter. So in that spirit, let’s take a look at what I found last year.

WWW: Driven Wheel Wednesday

I finally found sometime to get around and create my first wheel post! For the longest time I took for granted how awkward and creative you need to be to get a good angle and make the shot look great when focusing on wheels, so props to our trooper Ryan Benoit for pulling this off on a weekly basis. At Driven I must have spent a good portion of time laying on the floor, pondering the most disrespectful thoughts about my shooting positions.

Local Rides: Spring Fling

Well folks, it’s that time of year where the local cars come out of hibernation, and the daily drivers get their summer look back.  Brett Katzberg and Kyle Ermel invited me along on their hang out to snap some shots of their freshly washed civics.  Now, I am going to be completely honest with you guys, because I know you wont judge me.  This shoot was so short notice, I completely forgot to ask anything about their cars.  I am sure there are some parts you will notice.  Such as Kyle’s Diamond Racing wheels, or Brett’s Enkei 92s.  But if you would like me to get you some actual information on either of these cars, please don’t hesitate to ask in the comment section or on facebook.  Enough chat, hopefully you enjoy these shots of a clean, functional SIR and Kyle’s anything goes, daily’ed 4 door.

WWW: En Kei Ess One Five

Once upon a time, import car magazines reigned supreme, but as time moved forward many of the titans of print met their demise. Large media conglomerates that sacrificed profits over quality or just a lack relevancy is what thinned the herd of import car magazines.  There are few that still remain and those that have stood the test of time, do so because they find new ways of staying relevant.

WWW: Back in the Day II

Today let’s try to be a bit more educational than usual. Maybe I can also tug on those heart strings of yours and create a sense of nostalgia. I should also mention that today’s Wacky Wheel Wednesday is a bit of a cheat as it also doubles as a half car feature. Really, though, who’s going to complain as it’s just more pretty pictures to look at.

WWW: Back in the Day…. Kind of.

Sometimes it is just fun to see the world through other people’s lenses. DODO’s own Scott D always has something cool to share and helps me find content for Wednesdays. Today has some old school flavor with these Enkei 92′s.

Wacky Wheel Wednesday VI – Return of the Something or Other.

Six weeks of wheels on Wednesdays so far. It would have been super cool to do a Christmas take on this but you can only have so many pictures of black steelies. I guess the Datsun in the background is white like snow…. so merry Christmas.
