The Big Boy Logic Project

I would have preferred to call it the Big Bird Media project but Gaelen beat me to naming rights. Anyway Gaelen from Big Boy media put up a teaser for a project that we started working on while I was in Vancouver. I could tell you about it or I could just let Gaelen fill you in. Go over to Big Boy Media and find out what Gaelen, Devan and myself  are working on.

Video: Team Empire Teaser

I’m going to shoot straight with you, I have been kicking back this week because once 4:00 AM hits on Saturday morning DODOlogic will be on the clock for a week. With that being said Devan’s SEMA week with DODO starts Monday so he was able to crank out this teaser of one of my favorite Vancouver cars. This was made possible by Team Empire and Art of Stance. If you follow us on facebook you may have already seen this teaser but if you haven’t, here it is.

Monday Morning Rundown: Dave’s Day Off

Server maintenance stopped Dave from doing the  Monday Morning Rundown. However, I figure if I pretend to be an old guy and talk about the weather nobody will notice that it was me who wrote this morning’s Rundown. So, how about that weather, isn’t it something? Well enough with the babbling a-la- Dave style, let’s get to it.

Video: Gettin’ at er’ Part 1

Wow, it has been a long time since I last made a post or a video for that matter. I suppose moving from Canada’s “Best Coast” back to Northern Alberta might have a role to play in that. I’d have to honestly say that moving back home from Vancouver was one of the toughest moves I’ve ever made. With so much culture, people and things to do in and around Vancouver, I felt like moving back to Alberta was a death sentence. But then, I realized that moving back home with such a negative attitude was very selfish of me. When you are surrounded by good friends and family you really have nothing to complain about, and I couldn’t be any happier. Oh yeah, and one other thing to be stoked about, the Drift Union Invitational!

Monday Morning Rundown:Hot Stuff

Just the quick tidbits this morning as Dave slept in this morning and was too busy out in the sun watching Football last night to put together a proper post.  Now that I am done talking about myself in the third person, I will talk about other things in the third person.  Let’s get going…..

Event: Nissan Fest Part. II

The sounds of engines revving, tires squealing and the aroma of fresh rubber being burned filled the air of Evergreen Speedway.  To quote Kermit the Frog, “Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors?” No this isn’t the Rainbow Connection; this is drifting in the Pacific Northwest at Nissan Fest. Event: Nissan Fest Part. I

6:00 AM is an inappropriate time to wake up on a Sunday, 5:00AM however is just awful .  Lucky for me my Sunday morning was just an  inappropriate wake up call, Devan on the other hand had an awful wake up call. This is mainly because Devan had to pick me up before we made the trip to Evergreen Speedway for Nissan Fest.

Video: Owning your Dream Car

I remember the feeling when I drove down from Grande Prairie to Edmonton to pickup my 1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-T. It was an exhilarating feeling knowing that everything you worked your butt off for had finally arrived from a far away land -Japan. I knew from the inspection report that this car wasn’t perfect but, it didn’t bother me the slightest bit. I was on my way to owning my very own dream car.

This video shows why I bought my Skyline and those who helped me to get it to where it is now. I’ve always been interested in knowing why people buy the cars that they do. You can expect to see more videos like this that will share the stories behind the cars and the people who drive them.

Video: Wayfares and FPS

While in Penticton, I met Devan Francis from Grand Prairie, Alberta. Within minutes a friendship was forged — somewhere between videos and drifting. Rocking all-black Wayfarers and some serious video equipment, it was obvious he was there to inflict some unintentional equipment envy. He also made a video, a pretty amazing video at that. If you watch closely you can see me grinning like an idiot. The boys from Big Boy also have a bit of cameo. All and all it was a great day, and it is cool to see the world through someone else’s lens.
