EVENT : Drift West Round 1
The Inaugural round of the Drift West series started off at Strato tech park on a gloomy Saturday morning. While it was a new series to western Canada, it was still business as usual.

DMCC West: Drifting done Bob Ross Style
First let me apologize, the title is mis-leading. Bob Ross had probably never heard of drifting. Second, if you don’t know who Bob Ross is, look it up. However, I will be darned if the backdrop in some of these photos could not double as a landscape in one of his paintings. I have been to a few drift venues but never one that looked so little like a track. You could say that everyone reveled in the Joys of Drifting that day. ( Again, see Bob Ross Reference)
DMCC: Pro Season – Round 1 Part. I
Canada’s premier drift series, DMCC, launched its 2011 season in the west this past weekend. DMCC has been growing in leaps and bounds, while providing a venue for Canadian drivers to cut their teeth at a professional level. In fact, a few Formula D drivers got their start in DMCC. ScottD’s Favourite Photos of 2010 – Part 1
So as the year is coming to an end I find myself thinking of what I did throughout the year. Making trips to both Saskatoon and Calgary for drift events were definitely the highlights of my summer, but a lot of little meets and photo shoots can’t be forgotten. This past summer was by far the busiest I have ever been in the automotive world. Now that I have gotten the taste of what there actually is for a car community in the Regina area, I am going to make sure I attend as many events and provide as much coverage for the readers as my wallet can handle.
I might as well start off part 1 of the 2 part article with photos from this past summer.

Event : DMCC Round 4 – Battle in the rain.
To Say the top 16 of the final round of DMCC was wet would be an understatement.
Event : DMCC Round 4 – Test Run Day.
The Saturday pro practice of DMCC Round 4, turned the banked oval at Race City into a smoke show.
Video: DMCC Round 4 – Dub Step
I managed to grab some footage from DMCC Round 4. However, I did not bring the camera out on Sunday for fear of water damage. Anyway, since Jordan did such a good job of showing up for Pro Am, I let him pick the song. Dub Step is all the rage, so let’s try to cash in.
In all seriousness thanks to everyone for making DMCC Round 4 possible. And a huge thanks to all the drivers for giving me something to film.
