Monday Morning Rundown: Falling into Winter
As you have probably noticed, the ‘car season’ is all but over up here on the Canadian Prairies. The temperature has dropped and so have most of the leaves off the trees. That can only mean one thing, the 2012 SEMA Show is just around the corner. Today we will talk about that along with the weekend that was. Let’s begin……
Another Year Down the Hatch
In true blog fashion, we thought it would be nice to do a year in review. However, we underestimated just how much DODOlogic did this year. That being said, until we can gather all the information, I thought I would do the selfish thing and look back over my year. I decided to do this last night and what should have been a ‘best of’ post quickly became ‘my favorite photos.’ Finally this post turned into the ‘Hey! Here are some random photos from my year.’ So in no particular order, here is my 2011 in random photos.
Video: DMCC West Round 2
Man, wouldn’t it be great if this was a video from Sunday’s event? It isn’t, but it is from the DMCC event that took place in Edmonton a few weeks ago. I would have liked to have finished it sooner but between this and the Formula D: Seattle video, I’ve been pretty busy. Enough with the chit-chat, here’s some of the sites and sounds from DMCC.

*Note: For some reason the video runs long but I promise it actually ends with Devin.
Video: Formula D – Always Green?
Seattle marked my first media pass for a Formula D event. Armed only with the wrong equipment for the job, I did my best to capture some footage. I, of course, snapped some photos, but those posts have already been made.
Formula D: Seattle – Awesome Town from Ryan Benoit on Vimeo.
This video is long overdue. I originally started it a few weeks ago, but got side tracked making this video for Alex Lee. Now, that video is cut to “Howling for you” by the Black Keys, and I originally meant to cut this video to the aforementioned song. However, it suited Alex’s video so much better, and I just let it go. Instead, I settled for an old, old song hoping it would work.
DMCC: Round 2 out West
Well, happy long weekend everyone. If you were somehow unaware yesterday was Round 2 of DMCC West. So as usual we packed up the car and hit the road. This was my first time at Stratotech in Fort Saskatchewan and don’t let the name fool you it is no where near Saskatchewan. None the less is it was an eventful day.

Formula D: More Seattle Throw Down
Formula D is a spectacle, I believe it is something that every drift fan should attend at least once. The smell of tire smoke and the rumble of the engines is something that cannot be explained in a picture or a video, but that won’t stop me from trying.

WWW: The Wheels of Change
It should be no surprise who these wheels belong to after this past weekend. If you don’t know they belong to one of the heaviest cars in Formula D. South of our Canadian border his car can be a pretty big topic of conversation.

Formula D: Qualifying – Round 5
First and foremost, congrats to Alex Lee for qualifying 16th over all. Today is going to be a big day at Formula D: Round 5. Read the rest of this entry »
DMCC: In the Pits
We spend a lot of time talking about the drivers of DMCC, but really leave the drivers themselves faceless. I mean, we show you their cars and them in action but the people behind the wheels of those cars remain a mystery cloaked in tire smoke. So let’s take a look of the Bruce Wayne’s, and Clark Kent’s of DMCC West.
Random Vid: Slideways Friday Demo(lition)
The fine men at Drift Squad put together a video of last evening’s action at the track in Calgary. It sounds like several cars sustained damage all in the name of putting on a good show.
