Let’s go back to a simpler time — a time before the Drift Union Inviataional occured. Picture it, Penticton Speedway, 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 11th. Atop a mighty mountain, the surrounding area is littered with old race cars that have outlived their usefulness. As time passes, the parking lot fills with new cars, ready to risk the same fate as those that came before them — all for a little taste of the glory.
I think it is fair to say that if you know anything about drifting in the West, then you know something about Drift Safari.
On the left is Eric Zapata and on the right is Jack Connelly. This picture is 2/3 Drift Squad and 1/3 a mystery to me. I was not introduced to the gentleman in the middle. It would also seem that the sleeve monster got to all of Jack’s shirts that weekend.
As I mentioned las week, I just found out about these guys. What I don’t get is why did it take me so long to hear about them? They have unreal cars and skills to match. Perhaps I should get out more.
